BEHIND the

Brand
CREATIVE DIRECTOR & DESIGNER

Hey there! I'm Becky, and I'm here to help you design your dream brand.

For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with the "glow up". That scene in the movie where the main character gets her very own makeover and sees an alternate version of herself. Pretty problematic from a feminist point of view, but to me it’s always been more about seeing the many possibilities. The "transformation moment" available when we bring a vision to life.

My own path into design came through many of these moments. Reinventions of self that saw me envisioning, designing and birthing fashion and wellness brands, with the motto “everything is google-able” tucked in my back pocket. Yet it was through this process that I realised that design and creative direction were the elements that brought me the most joy.

The starting point for all projects: inspiration-seeking.  An exercise in pulling on the threads of curiosity and seeing where they lead. I always find that the most creative ideas are sparked in the most unusual of places, across seemingly non-related industries.

Ideas & Inspiration

Now that we've gathered a stock of ideas, the fun begins as we grant ourselves full permission to play. In this space, no idea is silly. It's about having the freedom to experiment and try out a variety of different things before deciding which ones to pursue.

Permission to Play

The final step: refinement. The phase where we evaluate which ideas are worth pursuing and which were merely stepping stones. Visuals are important of course, but more so it's a time to ask if it hits the creative brief and whether it will appeal to the client and audience?
